7th Grade Intermediate Band

Picture
Classes
Seventh Grade Band is Intermediate Band and most students have had at least one year of experience playing their instrument.  We begin the year by building on music fundamentals from Sixth Grade Band and add more advanced musical concepts and skills as we grow as musicians.  Seventh Grade Band is divided into two classes: woodwinds (flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, bass clarinet, alto sax, tenor sax, and bari sax) and brass/percussion (trumpet, french horn, trombone, euphonium/baritone, tuba, and percussion). Classes meet separately each day but combine for concerts and field trips, etc.

Extras
Seventh graders have the opportunity to participate in Pep Band and Jazz Band
(more information to come in January about these extra-curricular ensembles) along with eighth graders.  Seventh graders are encouraged to check out the Honors Band page and consider auditioning for All-County and All-District Band.
